I am so amused. :-P

Last night was my last All School Band Concert. I'm sad. But we had AWESOME MUSIC. We played Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes. Therefore, it rocks. My mom took some pictures, but I haven't figured out how to put them on my computer yet. Maybe tomorrow. I'm getting a copy of the concert from a DVD recorder. I'd like to let you guys see it, but I don't know if that's possible or not. :( Oh well. It rocked anyway.

I can't believe there's only about 34 more days before I graduate.

Am on [livejournal.com profile] fandombitches's list. My life is complete.

Alex and I sticky-noted Katie's car last night. That was fun.

By the by, marching band season is so officially on.

"This concept of 'WUV' is angering and confusing to me!" -- Futurama

Indeed.

Maybe I'm only seeing/hearing/perceiving what I want to see/hear/perceive, but I think Joe might like me back. O_O This is somewhat disturbing. That's all I have to say about that for today.

Pizza after the band concert was an... experience. I think pizza makes boys do weird things, because two boys ordered almost the exact same pizza, and what do they do but decide to have an eating contest. God, that was disgusting, especially with Happy Joe's pizza. Icky, it's so greasy.

An assignment for history class was to make a "Holocaust Scrapbook". We had to find 10 pictures from the Holocaust and write down the information (camp, date picture was taken, etc.) and write our responses to the pictures. Some of them were just so... graphic. Haunting. I don't know. It seems surreal somehow, but I know it happened, and its like a train wreck. I want to look away, but I just can't.

Speaking of Train --> Trainspotting --> Trainspotting Guy --> All State Speech on Monday. Eee!

Kait has been InFidelius'd. Stick a Phillips in my forehead and call me screwed. >_< What's the deal with that anyway? Is that disclosable?

::represses her 'Claw urges::

Won my challenge for band, which means I move up a chair to second chair... out of fourteen... not too damn bad if I say so myself. But not for long. I think Sarah has this thing about me 'stealing' Rachel for a friend. o_O Or maybe I'm just paranoid. That's probably more likely.

But, um, Stephanie definitely pissed about footsy situation.

I really think that I need more sleep.

I am home. No more cable internet for me. Back to dial up. Sigh. ::buries head in hands:: I was still hacked off for flags practice this afternoon, I'm afraid I burned off a little too much energy and almost knocked more people in the head than I care to think about.

But I'm home. Downloading iMesh and figuring out how WinAmp works. Squee.

And I love all you guys, you are absolutely the best friends that I could want. ::huggles everyone around the ankles::

I swear, I am not ready to go back to school. I have the pens, pencils, and notebooks, but I am just not ready. I am not ready to return to high school where I bring up the average IQ in a room up about twenty points. Oh well. Have purchased several little notebooks to drabble in, write in, and otherwise use to pointedly ignore the teachers. Sigh.

Wednesday. Hm. Wednesday I have to go take my driver's test. Hopefully I'll pass. If I don't, I don't know what I'll do. Ron will sit in front of the house for another two weeks, all alone. *sniffles* Poor Ron.

Thursday, I get to start one of my favorite activities again, marching band. Squee! We'll find out who the new members of the flag corps are and who the new drum major is. I hope Candice is the drum major. Not only does she agree with me that Fudge is an idiot and Weasleys are cool, but she would completely kick ass and would NOT answer to Satan if the drum line called her that.

Maybe this year Joe won't swell his hand to four times its normal size and Emma won't get her finger stuck in the keyhole. Silly clarinets.

Friday is youth group lock-in night. Bah. Anyone want to come? ::g:: I really don't like the idea of being the oldest person there. -_-' That makes me sick. But, at least now we have leaders who don't put up with any shit, like Jason. Jason let everyone get away with too much. Sigh. Shall drabble in my pretty notebooks and try and get some sleep.

Saturday. Hm. What can I do on Saturday?
1. Find [livejournal.com profile] relic5_5 and make her RP with me.
2. Go see Cory. (I really need to do that.)
3. Avoid homework.

And then Labor Day weekend I get to see CHRIS! SQUEE! *bounces around and is generally annoying*

I want to give a big hug to [livejournal.com profile] digikym because she's had a pretty shitty day. Be nice to her, Ter.

Showing off my new avatar. I swear, I must change avatars more often than I change socks. I am, however, moving into sandal-wearing season, so hopefully that won't change.

Today was my last day of school as a sophomore! I am officially an upperclassman, and it feels good. Now I can push around freshmen some more. *sniggers*

Reflections on this Year:
1. I missed Cory, a lot. Cory would have been sitting right next to me in band this year, as I was last flute (but still Queen of Sophomore Band Geeks) and he would have been first horn. You have no idea how depressing that is.
2. Mrs. Goetsch was awesome. She was far too cool to be a geometry teacher. Same for Mr. Ryan.
3. Biology was only as bad as I thought it was going to be when we were dissecting something. I liked Mr. Kreiter, he was a great teacher and finally taught me something about genetics.
4. I'm almost positive that I want to do something with writing or journalism now. Mrs. Gilroy is a wonderful teacher, and she might be a bit batty, but she knows what she's talking about and was my favorite teacher this year.
5. The sophomore chorus was the best even though we were the smallest with 40 people. Quality over quantity.
6. There is nothing more fun than marching band. Flags rock, and so does baton. We are the half time show, that's all there is too it. Concert band rocks too. I don't care what anyone says about Mr. Ed (McMahon, yes, his name IS Ed McMahon), I was about ready to quit band after my middle school teacher ruined things for me, and he got me enthusiastic about music again. I will forever owe him for that.
7. Gym still sucked.
8. Study Hall was the best.
9. World History was great. Mr. Thomas is on my list of "Coolest People Ever". He's an interesting person that has a lot of interesting things to say, I wish that every single last one of you could meet him. He's got a wonderfully dry sense of humor and humorous stories.
10. Spanish was okay. But I can't wait to get up to Spanish IV where we have the people actually interested in learning the language in the class.

Moving on.

HERE is a quiz on old wives tales and "Mother Myths". I saw one thing on there that disturbed me:

2. Your 6-year-old daughter is a terribly picky eater. The best thing to say to her as she refuses once again to touch the dinner you’ve so lovingly prepared is:

The correct answer: C. Don’t you know that children in India are starving?
Your answer: B. Don’t you want to grow up big and strong like Mommy?

Once again, this is totally unfounded in reality. But it’s never too early to begin instilling guilt in your girl.

I say this: Don't say this to your child too often. I was a pretty picky eater in elementary school, and heard this statement or something to the effect at least once a week for almost three years. It contributed to my depression and "Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt" experience on suicide. So don't say it too often. It loses its effect and too much guilt is a bad thing. Thank you.

In other news, I have the Harry Potter VHS! I only got two of the deleted scenes, sob, but they're really cool. The extended potions class is really neat, and the studying/"I forgot" scene is great. *squees at the R/Hr-ness*
