[livejournal.com profile] darkestwizard : Lord Voldemort. Evil genius.

I am so amused. :-P

Last night was my last All School Band Concert. I'm sad. But we had AWESOME MUSIC. We played Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes. Therefore, it rocks. My mom took some pictures, but I haven't figured out how to put them on my computer yet. Maybe tomorrow. I'm getting a copy of the concert from a DVD recorder. I'd like to let you guys see it, but I don't know if that's possible or not. :( Oh well. It rocked anyway.

I can't believe there's only about 34 more days before I graduate.

Voldemort says he *is* a genius. Nothing amusing about that.

I say I was amused by that too, and that you should poke him because he waves his wand threateningly in such a cute evil way. *g*

OMG. We're playing Pirates of the Caribbean in my band as well! We've got a psycho version, as a third of the song is written in 12/8 time. (O_O) It's crazy greatness.

"He's a Pirate" was pretty much all triplet quarter notes. I don't think most of the band would have been able to play it if they hadn't seen the movie. There was quite a bit of time signature switches from 4/4 to 6/4 to 5/4 and back to 4/4, to 3/4...

Definitely not the same arrangement. Ours is 12/8 at the beginning, then 3/4 and 4/4 throughout, and then back to 12/8 at the very end.
Half of our class hasn't seen the movie. It was interesting. But someone brought in the soundtrack, and we're going to watch the movie. :D
