The Icon Faerie

I am tired. A nap might be in order.

I had a job interview this morning at Movie Gallery -- which surprises me, because they are, like, a black hole for job applications, but I think it'll work out. He said he liked my phone interview (he asked me if I could have one movie on a desert island, what would it be and I was like WAIT A MINUTE, THESE GAMES USUALLY GIVE YOU FIVE SLOTS UHH) and he liked my live interview, and if my references give me good reviews then I could have a job. I liked him, he was pretty laid back. We both laughed a lot, so I think that's important. Work is work, you know, but I like a boss who can make a joke, you know?

It's not a dream career by any stretch of the imagination, but we knew I wasn't going to get that around here. But it's in town which means travel costs are going to be low, and there are free movie rentals as well as new releases a week before everyone else. \o/ That's a perk I can live with.

I didn't hear anything yesterday from the family, but I'm just presuming that means they reached Duluth in one piece.

(Also, I said Little Miss Sunshine for my desert island movie because it's the last thing that was in the DVD player. And I do like that movie.)

ETA: ALSO holy crap, Davenport, Iowa just got a mention on Weeds. XD For the win.
