First things first: Emmy nominations!

Second things second: I have a new layout for the first time in like... two years. It's not super fancy or anything and I will probably continue to tweak a little -- I started feeling sick last night and that put a stop to my fun -- but it is Doctor Whoish, which is fun. Third things third: meme.

Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep

This song has been on my Sleepytime playlist for ages. I don't know if I'll ever take it off.

The miniseries in general is wonderful, but it has a beautiful soundtrack. Everyone should check out the miniseries. I like the old movie, but this is much closer to the book and original story. Not to mention the cast is stellar, even Keira Knightly. Hans Matheson is one of my favorite actors ever, Sam Neill is creepy but wonderful, and before I saw this I didn't even know that Kris Marshall could actually act. BUT HE CAN!

I LOVE LIVE THEATER.

I hate Joan Rivers. Hate her. She is not funny, not cute, I find her simply crass and trashy. And Melissa is just scary.

Hooray for "Return of the King"'s 11 Oscar nominations! And Johnny Depp, too! See you all February 29!

I forgot it was Tonys Night! This is a big night for me! I watched it all, and now I'm ready to go out and star in something.

What Michelle Pawk said pretty much sums up the entire night:

"I have never been more proud to be a member of this community. Men kissing each other on stage, drag queens, children, IT'S A PERFECT WORLD!"

And, ooh, Antonio Banderas! (Eww, Melanie Griffith.)

And, Hugh Jackman sans sideburns and attitude. Squee. :) Harvey Fiernstein cracks me up, and I'm SO glad the chick from Hairspray won.

Like I said, I'm ready to go and star in something. :D

So. The Academy Awards. I knew that the 75th anniversary was going to be big. Was I disappointed.

Hell no!

Academy Awards -- cut for those who don't care. )

I am so upset that "The Two Towers" lost to "The Hours"!

GAH!

Things I Hated About The Golden Globes:
1. Daniel Day-Lewis lost to Jack Nickelson. Travesty.
2. Peter Jackson lost Best Director.
3. Nicole Kidman's dress. 'Nuff said.
4. See beginning of entry.

Things I Liked About The Golden Globes:
1. Gene Hackman. Yayee. :)
2. Martin Scorsese winning Best Director.
3. U2 winning Best Song from a Motion Picture.
4. Bono saying that winning was "fucking great" or something along those lines.
5. Colin Farrel, period.
6. Cate Blanchett's dress.
7. That Spanish director dedicating his award to people who fight for peace. Woohoo!
