Passeggiata, and the Duomo.
Apr. 3rd, 2007 04:30 pmI have to say that it's gorgeous here. It is. It is just... beautiful and really gorgeous. Parts of me still wonder what I'd have to do in order to get sent home, but in the end I'm not sure that would be worth it either.
( From the top of Linguaviva. )
Classes have been all right. The Art History one is nice. It's structured like Sarah's class back in London but the speed compared to Sarah's speed is like a leisurely walk in the park. I hope the London group is keeping up with her all right. :x Italian is a riot, our teacher is an Italian woman named Elizabetta (yep, Elizabeth) and she's just. Oh man, she's insane. And coming from me, you know it must be true.
Last night after dinner, we decided to take a little night time walk. Parissa and I wound up singing Passeggiata (and I hope to god I'm spelling that right) from The Light in the Piazza, which is fabulous. ♥ Fabrizio. Anyway, so we were doing that and we walked slightly south to the River Arno. It was pretty much dark by this time, but it was beautiful.
And then there was gelato.
( GELATO. )
I didn't have class until ten at the Duomo, but I wound up going early.
( The Duomo (I wish to god I actually knew what the name of this church was) and the Bapistry. )
Won't talk about much else, because I was just informed I have a low battery. I found out that the trick to keep gypsies from begging from you is to keep moving, although eventually I'm sure that will stop working eventually. :x Also, we move in with host family today. AHHHHHH.
