Jul. 16th, 2010 11:21 amDay 18 - A song that you wish you heard on the radio
So I am a sucker for a good choral arrangement of... anything, really, and sometimes I've had a song in choir that I love. Obviously, you never hear these on the radio, and it's kind of sad because it's amazing music and the only way people are ever going to hear it is if they hear a choir do it. So I want to share this song with you all right now. The mixed choir at Coe did this for Homecoming I think my junior year? Anyway. It was beautiful and I found this beautiful version of it on YouTube. Thank god for YouTube, you can find anything.
Here are the lyrics, since they're in Spanish:
( Lyrics )
That's a really rough translation I found online, but I think you kind of get the point. The music is by Alberto Favero and the lyrics are a poem by Mario Benedetti. If you're interested, google. I'm not a teacher yet.
