[livejournal.com profile] bubosquared tagged me to make a list of ten things that made me happy lately. This'll be interesting since there really isn't much that's made me happy at least since Sunday (when we had our taping snafu in the Dows) but let's see if we can't give this the old college try.

1. Heroes! This week's Heroes made me very happy. I won't give any spoilers since Heroes is not the point of this entry but ahhh. (Also, Peter can be bare-chested on my TV any time he wants. Even though I was watching it on my laptop.)

2. The fact that I'm doing a history seminar paper on the musical Hair. I totally marvel at the complete and utter awesomeness of this fact. It was between this or the Prague Spring, and I can't see myself getting this excited over that, despite the fact that all you have to do to get me interested is inject a few communists. It's HAIR, GUYS!

3. A great book came yesterday for me. And also, [livejournal.com profile] roseanna bought me the book that I couldn't find on ILL for my birthday. Bee is awesome and nobody does nearly enough for her.

4. I did an edit, and the Ginormous Werewolf Fic 'O Doom by myself and [livejournal.com profile] thinkatory went up to 257 pages.

5. Spring Awakening. I can't help it. Say what you'd like about the show itself, but I've hardly been listening to anything else. I used to detest those people who had their iPod on all the time walking around campus, but now I've become one of them. I think I was jealous of their ability to have portable music. (My personal CD player was one of those $10 deals: cheap but functional, but bulky. And only able to carry 20 songs [give or take] at once. House [my Zune] has lots more!) The show itself also speaks to me on some level, although apparently not some people. Which is fine.

6. On that note: Jonathan Groff. Mostly he's amusing me in this video (I wish it wasn't so dark), but his robot dance will change your life. Also imagine him as a pirate. I'm sad he couldn't stick around OLTL for their "musical prom" week. THAT would have been great. Alas, no.

7. Pomegranate juice. Now, I don't actually know if this makes me happy, but I plan on running to the pub and getting some before choir, and Sara Mac claims it's delicious and all sorts of yummy, so I trust her.

8. I might have mail! I ordered two more translations of the play Spring Awakening (I know, I know) and the libretto to Hair. I'll admit that the two copies of SA were bought just because, but Hair is for science! Well, history, which is an isn't really a science at all. I just like how it sounded.

9. "I Constantly Thank God For Esteban." It makes me want to jump up and down and dance around and do all manner of unseemly things. Thanks, Panic at the Disco.

10. Stephen Sondheim and his little musicals. I chose my Threepenny audition piece: "I Remember" from The Evening Primrose. It's pretty. And not written in my break.

So, after all that, yeah. The fact that I keep screwing things up for AWW, I'm not getting paid this month, the NY Times online archive hates me, I'm probably not going to get a part in Threepenny anyway, and I don't get to go home to see my brother in his play on FAMILY weekend of all times? No big deal when I think of all that. </maybe a little sarcasm>

I think I'm supposed to tag ten people next, so tag [livejournal.com profile] thinkatory, [livejournal.com profile] roseanna, [livejournal.com profile] kaesa, [livejournal.com profile] heathersy, [livejournal.com profile] ennia, [livejournal.com profile] klef, [livejournal.com profile] onecloudyday, [livejournal.com profile] raven22, [livejournal.com profile] illegal_midget, and [livejournal.com profile] kay_cricketed.
