"Dwight, you ignorant slut."
Apr. 14th, 2007 02:59 pmI... miss The Albert. Congratulations, universe. You win.
This Webpuccino thing is turning out to not be worth it, because last weekend they were closed (Holy week, so I guess I don't really blame them) and today there is no internet. What the fuck o_o). So I am here in yet another one of the internet cafes that dot Firenze's ancient streets, wasting more of my money. Then again, I suppose it's my money to waste. Although it would be nice to not have to waste is since I've already paid for a service that I'm not getting.
Anyway.
It's been an interesting couple of days. Thursday I was supposed to go to Santa Croce for Art History but instead I threw up about ten times between the hours of seven and ten in the morning and spent the rest of the day in bed, sleeping, reading, and finally doodling on my notebook. It was kind of boring. I suppose I could have watched a movie, but it was kind of nice to just lay in relative silence with the window open and have a nice breeze blowing through (of course, with that breeze comes mosquitos which are eating me alive whilst I sleep). I am better though. And Sarah acted out the frescoes at Santa Croce for me, and it was like I was there. It was brilliant.
Friday was blah and there was an hour or so of time where I thought I'd lost my passport but then we found it and there was much rejoicing. Especially because now I can book my trip to Greece for the long weekend. YES I AM OFFICIALLY GOING TO ATHENS. I am so effing excited for this. I have a hotel and a couple day long tours booked, and I just need to book the flight and I'll be good to go.
My problem is that I packed t-shirts because YAY the weather's nice, but the thing is that daywear is like... less casual than that. I've been looking at some clothes but the problem is that everything is troppo caro (too expensive) or troppo piccolo (too small). Once again I am living in a world that was not built for people of my size. Sigh.
