I set up an LJ for the losers at school who don't have an LJ/read mine to read my travels abroad,
sofarafield. Don't go reaching for the friending button yet, everything that's in there is going to make it in here, too, and probably more. You guy are going to be the ones that get all the other stuff. DVD extras, if you will.
I need to do something constructive today, but can't really sit still right now to save my life. So I think I'm going to clean the bathroom and the living room and see what then.
And, uh, this journal turned five on Saturday. Wow. Also, I am really sick of every other
metaquotes post on my flist being about Eragon and how it's like Star Wars/Lord of the Rings/Narnia/A Book You Already Read. FOR GOD'S SAKE, SHUT UP. It's called the monomyth. It's a formula. Paolini is not the first to use it and definitely won't be the last. And yeah, it's not one of the most spectacularly written books ever written or even the best movie ever made, but Jeremy Irons is an acting god, Ed Speelers is sort of adorable, and Saphira is one cool piece of CGI.
