Normal posty from Happy!Liz

Oh wow. Tonight was the variety show at the high school. I think if we had actual winners, Rachel and Andrew would have won hands down. Rachel is my best friend, and Andrew is her older brother, also the middle school band instructor. They sang "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge, and it was just so damn beautiful. They were looking at each other the entire time and it was just so cute. They are both super talented. I thought Kate and I were going to burst into tears. They had a really REALLY long applause.

A close second would probably be "House on Stilts" -- a band of three guys in my class. Cody singing, Adam on guitar, and Zach on drums. They did "Slide" by the Goo Goo Dolls... and let's say Cody definitely knows how to dress like a rock star. Vinyl pants, no shirt (but one hell of a fur coat), and sunglasses. :) I would expect nothing less of the boy.

And Rachel lent me "Into the Woods" to watch. I watched it once and I want to do it next year even more. I swear if they choose "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" I'm going to have to hurt someone. "The Sound of Music" wouldn't be as bad, but. Still. Rachel said she won't do it if its "The Sound of Music" and it would be really sad to do it without her. (Like she could stay away, but. :P) I'm going to do everything in my power (which is almost nothing) to get "Into the Woods". And I even cried once.

My thoughts exactly. They decided on Wizard of OZ (gag) this year, and if Into the Woods isn't next on the list, heads will roll.

I wish my high school still held a variety show... They stopped doing it a few years ago when a student flipped off the audience onstage :p

"Come What May..." ~turns into a puddle of mush~ They must have been real cute-! There's not many brother/sister acts nowadays either... I wouldn't be caught dead onstage with my brother. ^_~

Me neither. Then again, my brother can't carry a tune in a bucket, so.
