How can I be optimistic and hopeful if I'm sure he's going to say, "No"? I've learned if you don't expect anything, you can't be disappointed.

Believe me, if my dad says yes he may as well have said no because I will flop over dead.

My boyfriend and mine homecomings are the same week, except he's on the committee for his, so he sort of has to be there. Am almost certain that I will be handed a big, fat no.
