O hai trouble, I see a lot of you lurking at the end of A Game of Thrones.

A Clash of Kings better get here soon, that's all I have to say about that.

Understatement of the era.

Why does George RR Martin take so long between books?

To give people like me who come late to the party time to catch up. XD

You say this, but six months from now you'll be exactly where I am and we'll both be pathetically whimpering and waiting for the next book, which still won't be out.

Oh, no doubt.

Lots of troubles! Even more in coming books! There should be a "TROUBLE" POV.

PS, are you interested in participating in our ASOIAF reread (it doesn't start until June 1) at [livejournal.com profile] remoot?

I was thinking about it, but then someone had a concern about spoilers for people who are reading through for the first time. But on the other hand, I'm doing a fine job of spoiling myself taking peeks at Wikipedia.

So I probably will. My need to go OMG is swiftly overcoming my need to be surprised by what comes next - although that will probably happen anyway.

ACK YOU MUST BE SURPRISED! It makes it better.

Maybe you'll be well into it by June 1st. (Still got more than two weeks.) So it won't really be spoilerific.

I KNOW. I'll read something and go OH NO LIZ GET AWAY and close the window before my eyes can catch any more.

That's what I'm hoping. I ordered the other three (cheap) on Sunday and I got notices that they all shipped yesterday, so I'm hoping they hurry here. Still, I'm considering going to the library and taking out the second book to read until mine gets here.

I remember reading the opening chapters on Amazon search inside because I was too impatient to wait for them to arrive. But that didn't last me very long. The library thing seems like a more viable option.
