I wish I had more to update with, but I don't. The most exciting thing that's happened since I finished DH is arguably that I'm getting a new laptop and so will have to figure out the Windows Vista thing, or Wolfsbane!Splodey in

leviosarpg. Because if I ever manage to shut Owen and Damocles up, it will be a small miracle.

And my mother just came in with a bottle of Arbor Mist Sangria and said, "If your dad's going to sleep tonight, we may as well drink."

Best advice I can say for Vista is to shut off ALL the security. ALL of it.

Also: you can't download torrents.

I download everything onto my other laptop that has a wire that's on the verge of being cut in the screen BUT IT WORKS FOR NOW.

All the computer guys I know tell me not to get Vista... of course, they all run Linux, but yeah. They keep telling me not to get vista 'cause it's not that great. Meh.

Why did you get Vista? My new laptop doesn't have it, for which I am grateful. Although it does have new!Microsoft Office, which is weird, because it comes with a Scary Button that Glows. For a while I thought it was a trap that would kill me, but hey, it turns out to be the File menu.

It'll come with Vista. I'm a little frightened.

Egh. I had the option of not-Vista. Hopefully Mnemosyne will outlast Vista and Microsoft will... I don't know, suddenly be bought out by the good-technology fairies.

I haven't seen the paperclip yet. I suspect it's in a little defunct iPod cage in Steve Jobs' office after having been captured on an industrial espionage mission to steal the iPhone plans for Microsoft. In my head, it's pounding on the screen and shouting "PLEASE, LET ME GO! I CAN HELP YOU! I CAN HELP YOU! OH GOD, NOT THE iWIRECUTTERS! NOOO!"
