So I let Lolita sit over night and cool down. She worked for about an hour after my impropmtu dentist appointment (so that tells you what sort of mood I was in to begin with) and then shut off again. On top of it all, my flash drive decided to be a huge douche and not work. It worked on this computer last night, how do drivers become randomly uninstalled for a device? (Assuming that's what happened, because it says that there are no drivers installed for the device but it worked last night.)

So I don't know if there's shit blocking the fan in there and making overheating an issue (I assume this is what you were getting at in the comment that LJ delivered like three seconds ago,

kaesa?). I'm going to have dad look at it... whenever, but my brother's car is also broke and his toy is bigger.

I'm also freaking out because all the Circa 21 jobs are GONE (not that they could have paid me enough to keep me in gas for the daily drive to Moline/Rock Island) and nobody else wants to hire someone who's only here for a couple months but I have $88 dollars in my checking account, I'm not going to have a lot of time to work when I get to school, and. God I hate money, why can't we all just go back to bartering for what we need?

Yeah. (and agh, I suck at flists, sorry) Odysseus overheats due mainly to dust in the fan (and occasionally, INEXPLICABLE YARN WHICH I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT CAME FROM). Sometimes I stick him in the freezer and that helps, and it tends to work for a while, and then not. Canned air helps a bit. So do nail files, for whirling the fan around until it starts back up. There are a couple of laptop cooling fan thingies that work, too, but the good ones seem to be expensive and/or loud.

In the freezer, hm. I'm not sure our freezer has room, but I'll try everything else. XD

What about reusable ice packs?

Those we do have! My dad's going to look at it and see if it is the fan.
