The Night Bus!

My adventure on the night bus was quite interesting (which, Neil wrote on my paper, "is never an interesting word" but it is the only one that I can come up with to describe my experience on the night bus). I left the internet cafe around 3 to make the N10 bus that would take me back to Kensington High Street, which is the stop on Kensington Gore nearest to Queen's Gate. There was a group of people there and like most people in the city do, were minding their own business waiting for the bus. So I did the same, playing around with my Zune.

I think that someone tried to get into my backpack, which was on my back. I felt a slight change in pressure, like it was being leaned on all of the sudden, and when I turned around, this guy was standing very close to me and pointedly looking up in another direction. I discreetly moved away and put by backpack in front of me, discreetly checking the very front pocket.

But I was equally confident that he got nothing, because I had used the padlocks. Ruffians of the city: 0, Liz: 1.

The bus itself was... well, if you saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, it was a bit like that. And everytime we stopped, if the bus stopped for more than five seconds, the car behind us honked their horns, which was rather annoying. I mean, it's a bus, in the bus lane.

So yes. Exciting. Portobello Road Market ended up not happening because I was so tired and woke up about 2. I grabbed a shower, did some homework, and watched The Office (Jim, you LIAR!) and Grey's Anatomy... yeeeeeeah.
