pretending it's a chore to ship us off to war
Today, I did as I usually do what I do when I feel the need to be in a quiet place with a group of strangers who weren't going to bother me.
i.e. I went to the movies.
It cost me way too much money but I'm not sure you can put a price tag on peace of mind. I saw Running With Scissors because I figure since I enjoyed it when I downloaded it (:x) it was the least I could do to pay to see it, and I needed a quiet place to sit and sort my thoughts out. When I came out, I was much more relaxed than I had been.
I was even more jarred when I was asked to tea by a nice man who gave me a good deal on some bitchin' knee socks. Have started wearing my opal on a VIF (Very Important Finger) because I'm just too damn nice who is either
a) someone who would rather lie than give a flat out no,
b) is spoiled by Hollywood
c) has an overactive imagination.
