Interesting day?

One should never read the sentence "Kit Snicket drove the taxi into the shrubbery" through Monty Python lenses. If you are very tired, it will cause much laughter.

I was apparently the only one who did very well on the quiz for HoTaD today. We had to read The Way of the World, and yeah, the plot was sort of convoluted and the language was a little hard to get around at times, but honestly? I'm of the opinion if something is difficult you can't shy away but you do what you have to in order to get it. Even if it includes lowering yourself to drawing a chart of how all the characters are related to one another. That helped me a lot.

On the other hand, Sweiss's little grin and telling me joyfully, "You got the play!" like a thirsty man greets an oasis in the desert made my day. It's nice to be smart.

I started reading the play for Friday last night, She Stoops to Conquer, which I'm pretty much in love with. I'm trying to get as much reading done for Monday so that I can work on my papers this weekend. Ick. Unpreventable, but still, it'll be nice just to do it. I have another part due on Friday but I don't know what to do for that one (the HB/OT paper) other than just hand what I have to him and say, "Here." :\

Back to doing as much work as is humanly possible.

I want more crackified Mt. Dew. Like, ten minutes ago.

What's the difference, some days?

Mm, agreed.

I had to read The Way of the World a few months ago. We did the chart of characters and how they're related too. :D But once you get past the confusion and language, it is really quite an amusing play. I don't know if it was just me, but it reminds me of The Importance of Being Earnest in a lot of ways.

Yeah, my professor compared it to plays of Oscar Wilde and that made sense to me. :D

So what does that crackified Mt. Dew taste like, anyway? I'm curious.

Like... it's really citrus-y. I'm trying to think of a comparable drink, but nothing comes to mind.

Hee! I'm reading the new Lemony Snicket, too. :)

ssssh don't tell me what happens! :) I'm going to try to finish it tonight, and then we'll have to yammer about it behind LJ-cuts.
