Look at it this way, Martha Stewart. At least you'll be out in time to do some emergency decorating for the holidays.

...

(Wow I'm really mean.)

Also, my mom and I were watching The West Wing this morning (we both hate politics but love this show), and we were wondering... what happens if they want to go beyond eight seasons?

Less than eight seasons, actually, as the first season started in the middle of the second year of Bartlett's presidency, or thereabouts. I guess either they change the constitution or they kick Martin Sheen out and make whoever's the VP now into the star of the show.

Considering the ratings, it will never make it past the 8th (fictional) year. And if it does, well, as it is the West Wing they'd have to convince what audience is left to accept a whole new cast, because it isn't titled "Bartlett and Co.". I miss Aaron Sorkin though - the writing on the show just hasn't been the same since he left. *weeps*

I'm worried that Martha will get eaten alive in there (likely with fresh grown herbs and kiwi chutney). She does have a leader personality though, so she'll survive. The sentence could have been a lot worse!

I don't watch West Wing, but remember M*A*S*H lasted a few years longer than the Korean war did.

Eleven seasons compared to the Korean war's three years. XD That amuses me.

They could attempt ... "just floating it out there, a little trial run of the idea that the President of the United States could -- under certain circumstances -- declare himself Caeser."

Sorry, that just reminded me of the Daily Show from a couple days ago.

I'm a nerd.

Typo! I meant Caesar.

They would have an 8th season because by then the writers will have all killed, kidnapped, or write off whatever characters they have left.
I loved The West wing, but after season 3, the show has totally jumped the shark.

wouldn't sorry for the typo :-P
