Spam seems to be my middle name tonight.

Anyway, my mom just rang. My grandfather fell coming out of my grandparents' motorhome onto the driveway -- concrete -- and his face was torn up pretty badly. The lacerations were a bit more than the doctor on call here at the hospital could handle, so they have to take him down to the Quad Cities for stitches. He should be okay though.

... I'm so relieved, I just know if it was anything worse that incapacitated him... my grandmother would not be able to function. She is not doing well herself, her other hip is now bothering her, apparently all from degenerative arthritis. She's had one hip, both knees, and one shoulder replaced/fixed/whatever and has basically been in one sort of pain or another over the last three years. It's horrible, I hate watching it, and I hate listening to it.

If that is what golden years are supposed to be like, I want to make enough money to leave my children in comfort and die before I get that old.

Thanks for everyone who was concerned and sent thoughts and prayers, even after the thought -- you have no idea how much I appreciate it.
