They delete Herbology, DADA, and History of Magic classes.

They didn't delete DADA. They had a DADA teacher, didn't they? And DADA is where Oliver (*drool*) was when McGonagall pulled him out of class to tell him about Harry being a seeker.

The 1st years meeting ghosts scene never happens. They have a lot more ghosts in the movie then there should be.

Never said how many ghosts are at Hogwarts. We are only introduced to the House ghosts (minus the Grey Lady). NHN was very cool.

Qurriel and Snape Forest conversation never occurs, it actually happens in the school.

Oh my god they changed the location! *uses her Martyr Mitten (TM)*

Christmas Presents scene altered.

I wanted Fred and George to force Percy's sweater over his head. Sigh.

For the Chess Challenge, They don't replace the parts they get on and ride them you could say.

Hermione and Harry don't. They completely replace the rook and the bishop.

They delete the Potions Challenge, Hermione actually leaves with Ron from the Chess game.

Twas considered anti-climatic, I agree.

Devils Snare scene messed up.

This didn't really bother me. Although I missed the lines:
"So light a fire!"
"Yes of course!...Oh, but there's no wood!"
"Have you gone mad? Are you a witch, or aren't you?"

Confronting Quirrel/Voldemort scene messed up.

Er...how?

They never introduce Crabbe and Goyle, matter of fact they don't introduce 3/4 of the characters.

Yeah huh. Unless I'm incorrect, Crabbe and Goyle are introduced at the sorting. And 3/4 of the characters are nameless students.

Lee Jordan looks too much like a girl (that is, they might as well have just made him a girl)

Oh he does not. He's a thirteen-year-old boy who wears his hair in dreadlocks.

Vernon to Grunnings scenes deleted.

They had the beginning with Harry being delivered to the Dursleys. How much beginning do you honestly want to see?

The Norbert Hatching scene was messed up.

But he was so cuuuute...

Quidditch Alterations, Quidditch Graphics not that good, only one Quidditch match shown.

Quidditch was awesome. It was like the Yoda Lightsaber fight of Harry Potter. They uniforms were much better than what I thought they originally wore, just a robe over their normal clothes.

Flashback to the Killing of the Potter's scene added, they show Lily getting killed but they don't show james getting killed?

Because James getting killed isn't in Harry's memory? Maybe?

They set Harry down on the front porch when he is a baby, light starts to come from his scar, flashes, and the flash recedes back into an 11 year old Harry Potter waking up.

Professor McGonagall is supposed to take out Oliver Wood from charms, not DADA as they show in the movie.

But see if they didn't stick the DADA scene in there, hyperactive purists might have thought they delete DADA totally.

Prior to the sorting ceremony, Professor McGonagall calls out the students' names first name then last name, but in the books they are called by last name first.

You have to get the director's daughter (she was absolutely lovely, I thought) and the main characters in there.

Dudley falls in boa constrictor's cage and glass reappears.

Hehe. That was funny. My dad thought that was the best part.

Hagrid takes Harry to King's Cross.

Mrs. Figg is a grown lady, I'm sure she's more than capable of taking care of herself.

Oh get the knickers out of a bunch. It was fine.

All of the students wear fezes instead of wizard hats.

While the uniforms rocked, I could have done without the special occasion hats. Gave me too many bad ideas for Percy/Oliver slash.

Oliver Wood wasn't supposed to take out the snitch because it was too dark.

But the people who had never read the books but had come to see the movie had to know what the snitch was. The first time I tried to read the books, Quidditch is what confused me the most.

The bite on Snape's leg appears too soon.

Removed Quirrel's challenge with dead troll.

Not much of a challenge, a dead troll, eh?

Harry only meets Firenze, not Ronan and Bane.

Good. I didn't like Ronan and Bane in the book.

'Baby Harry' is wearing a blue's clues jumper, when blues clue wasnt around when harry was young. *unconfirmed*

It wasn't Blues Clues. It was little blue trains.

Potions part of getting to the Sorcerer's Stone cut out

As I said before, its anti-climatic, and anti-climatic might work fine for books, but for movies it doesn't work.
