Oh man, what a night. To make a long story short, I worked 4-6, went to dress rehearsal at 6:30, drove to a birthday party in the next town, got lost by the river (a not-nice part of town) on the way to where we were going to go have ice cream (a Happy Joes). So I parked in a Taco Johns and called my friend for directions. Her boyfriend actually ended up getting the directions, and in the end they said they would just come and get me. I said that was fine and hung up. I went to back up so that I could park and wait in a spot that wasn't handicapped. I ENDED UP BACKING INTO A FREAKING CAR. All I could do was stare at it. I started to cry, because I was thinking of all the stuff that could happen (pessimist? me?), and the person who owned the car came out. There was no damage to either of our cars, so we dropped it. Then they came for me and I had a lot of chocolate to make myself feel better. And then there was really bad fog on the way home.
Phew. I'm bushed.
Interview questions. Reply to this if you want interview questions of your own. Voila!
1. Not including the HPverse, what literary universe would you want to live in and why?
Wow. While LotR might be interesting, "The Mists of Avalon"-verse would be an interesting universe to jump into. I've always been interested in the medieval period, and if I could jump into one of the best interpretations of Arthurian legend, that's cool!
2. What famous person would you like to meet the most and what would be the first thing you ask them?
Assuming you mean living or dead (:D), I'd like to meet all sorts of writers. Chaucer, Shakespeare, Marlowe, Upton Sinclair, Jacob Riis, Tolkien, etc. But for the purpose of choosing one, I'd say Tolkien. I'd ask him if he was really originally planning to marry Éowyn and Aragorn, and if he thinks it turned out better this way.
Who's your favourite person in the world and why?
Joe. My Joe. Because I wouldn't mind repopulating the planet with him if we had a nuclear winter and were the only two that survived, and for other reasons. :) He's possibly the smartest person I know (1=2? Come on!), and I'm at ease with him. Until we start playing Euchre, and then I'm at a loss. :D
What is one place you fell in love with?
When I was in Estes Park, CO for FCA camp, I absolutely fell in love with the mountains. They were so beautiful, at all times of the day. Even though I almost fell off of one. (Figures, huh?)
1. Do you consider yourself an inspiration to others?
Er, what a question. I hope so. I try to be a good role model for my younger siblings and younger cousins and try to set an example for people I know to follow, but I'm not sure I'd say I was inspiring.
2. What is your favorite TV show and why?
I got into Everwood at the end of the season (grr wrong time, eh?), and I really like that one. Besides the fact that I like Gregory Smith, I can rely to the small town setting. Which I find incredibly dull. -_- Either that or the Golden Girls. Even if some of the jokes are dated, they are so funny.
3. If you had a choice between an immediate death or living forever along with your worst enemy, which would you choose?
Well, if I had forever, we'd either learn to live with each other or kill each other. So.
4. Are programs such as KaZaA and Napster ethical?
I think there's different ways to handle them. If you're downloading single songs and putting them together on a CD, that's fine. But if you're downloading entire albums all the time, then no. I don't mind going and spending $16 or whatever for a CD that I know I'm going to listen to a lot and listen to almost or every track. But I'm not going to pay $16 for a CD where I'm only going to listen to one or two tracks. That's stupid.
5. Do you pronounce KaZaA "kah-zuh" or "kuh-zah"?
"Kah-zah." Rhymes with "whazzah?"
1) What is the thing that is guaranteed to irritate you, no matter what?
People talking while an adult is supposed to be talking. In class, at youth group, etc. I think it's incredibly disrespectful and just makes me want to yell, "Shut the hell up!"
EDIT: Did I mention when people type "bare with me" when they mean to say "bear with me"? I will not bare with you. I'd rather not.
2) What is the thing that is guaranteed to make you happy, no matter what?
To know that I'm being thought of, or cared about. ::looks pointedly at e-mail inbox and phone::
Where do you wish you lived?
Oh God. Anywhere but here. The more people the better. New York or London, maybe.
1. Do you plan to go to college/university, and if so, to study what?
I'm looking at colleges and universities, I think the only reason I would go is if I didn't find one or couldn't choose. But, as that doesn't seem likely, I am still looking. I don't know what I want to study. History, psychology, journalism, music, theater, TV and film... it's up in the air.
2. Which would you give up more easily--Internet access, or your car?
My car. I like driving myself places and I love Ron and everything, but, dude. You guys are my friends. ::hugs::
3. If you could only listen to music by one artist for the next five years, who would it be and why?
Jewel. I love her voice, the music is beautiful, and I find her inspirational.
4. What's the one question no one's asked you yet that you wish someone had? (Answer it.)
Uhh. (Good one.)
What are some of your guilty pleasures? -- The movie "Thumbelina", a good romance book/movie, chocolate truffles, and cool socks to name a few.
5. What's something very important about you that you don't think someone who knows you only from LJ would know?
I get along with my brother really well but am constantly irritated by my sister. (I think it's important.)
Phew. I'm bushed.

Choose someone else! Tolkien answered the question, mostly...A snippet from The Treason of Isengard, "Aragorn weds Eowyn sister of Eomer (who becomes Lord of Rohan) and becomes King of Gondor." (Dr. C of SQ elaborates here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/dr_c/18452.html), if you'd care to read it.)
