Sword Fighting
Watching Launcelot with Guinevere both amused Arthur and made him laugh mirthlessly. Must he and Launcelot avoid each other by directing their love towards the same woman? Their rough kisses in dark corridors and behind closed doors were not enough for either of them.
Launcelot's tanned hand tangled in Arthur's fair hair. "You kiss like you fight with the sword," he breathed, "expertly and rough around the edges."
Arthur smirked. "Who are you calling rough around the edges?"
"You."
"Be careful you do not find yourself impaled upon my sword, Launcelot," Arthur said, the double-sided talk making him smile.

When Tybalt slayed Mercutio, he slayed Romeo. Mercutio was the other half of Romeo's self. Without Mercutio, Romeo would not know how to love. Romeo would not be able to love Juliet without first loving Mercutio. Mercutio made Romeo a man who could love freely. Even if Mercutio sometimes teased Romeo about his fickleness, Mercutio always knew he had been first.
A madness overtook Romeo as he watched Mercutio die in the street. My man. My best friend. My confidant. My first love.
Romeo carried no sword, but picked up Mercutio's, the contact between their hands being their last.

Confidence
Arithmancy had been one of Penny's favorite subjects in school. The material was good, the professor was nice... and, well, the professor was nice looking. Penny had never fancied herself a lesbian, but thinking of Ilyssa Vector made it all too easy. So you can see why she was a bit nervous when Professor Vector incited her one afternoon for tea.
Professor Vector's office was an amicable atmosphere. The tea was excellent as was the conversation, but Penny couldn't find it in herself to not be nervous, or not to stare. "Penelope, is something wrong?" Ilyssa asked. "We're both adults not, you can share things with me and have my complete confidence."
Penny bit her lip. Bluntly, she said, "I had a crush on you while I was in school." She looked away, and felt Ilyssa's eyes on her. "I'm sorry," she added, standing up to leave. "I'll go. I'll see you some other ti-"
Ilyssa stopped the girl wiht a hand on her wrist, standing up also and pulling Penny closer until their lips met in what seemed like a perfect kiss. "How's that for confidence?" Ilyssa asked. Penny was speechless. She thought Ilyssa made it all too easy.
Doesn't Matter
To Marcus, Lee had always been a loud-mouthed Quidditch announcer. Whenever Lee would jubilantly proclaim a goal or penalty against Slytherin as if to rub the minor defeat in, Marcus would sneer in his general direction.
To Lee, Marcus was mostly nothing but an over-ambitious jock who would run his team into the ground trying to beat Gryffindor, but they didn't really mind much because they wanted the win as bad as he did.
But somehow when they would find themselves in abandoned classrooms or dark hallways kissing each other roughly and other activities ensuing, it didn't matter.
Revenge
Penny's technique was messy when she was tipsy. She kissed with a fervor and a passion that would have embarassed her on the first time if she were sober. Neither her nor Lee were completely sloshed, but it was definitely more than enough to loosen their tongues -- literally.
"Want to have some more fun?" Lee asked, nuzzling her cheek gently.
"I'm still waiting for that revenge from the glittery Valentine owl," Penny laughed, her hand threading through his dreadlocks, remembering the red and pink catastrophe.
He grinned, fingers itching at the hem of her shirt. "What, we can't do both?"

High Strung?
Lily could tell that James was at his breaking point. He wasn't sleeping, he was barely eating, and now was out late working with Sirius, and instead of going to sleep, Lily decided to wait up for him. He apparated in, pushing off his shoes, and noticed her watching him. "James?" she said softly, standing and walking to him.
He looked older than twenty-three. "You and Harry have to go into hiding."
She reached and brushed some hair off his forehead. "And you?"
"I'll stay and fight," he said.
Lily looked up at him. "I won't go without you."
Impatient Love
In the years after the war, Ginny was closer to Harry than ever. Harry was determined to go to a normal existence. He dated just about every Jenny, Anne, and Laura in the wizarding world as a result, and everytime his heart got broken, Ginny's was broken tenfold. Her celebrity crush had grown to a man she loved with all her heart.
One day Ginny received the owl:
Ginny,
Does love skip over me purposely?
Harry
Her patience breaking and temper flaring, she wrote back:
Harry,
It's been in front of you for ten years. Wake up, please.
Love, Ginny

Familiar Stranger
The library wasn't usually a place you would hope to meet someone to date. But Lisa had asked to sit at Harry's table if that seat wasn't taken, please. They had talked more than studied, and discovered they both like Quidditch, Bertie Botts Every Flavor beans, and hated Potions class (admittedly, for different reasons).
By the time they returned to their common rooms, Lisa was completely smitten with Harry the messy-haired Gryffindor and Harry had fallen for the blue-eyed Ravenclaw.
"What happened to you?" Many Brocklehurst asked.
"I met a familiar stranger," Lisa answered, refusing to say anymore.
