Since my computer was dead yesterday, here's a happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] cygnusfap!

Happy Birthday Cyg!

I think my mother and I are going to go see "The Pianist". This should be interesting, to say the least.

Friday Five
1. What was the last song you heard? -- "Here With Me" by Dido
2. What were the last two movies you saw? -- That Thing You Do and Dogma
3. What were the last three things you purchased? -- Shoes, a pop, and chocolate.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend? -- Get a I at state, history homework/project/book report, move rest of stuff downstairs and organize it, finish "The Amber Spyglass".
5. Who are the last five people you talked to? Uh. [livejournal.com profile] erinmiran, Kate, FAP chatters (yes, you are all one entity), Kimmie, and Lav.

I thought it might interest you to know a few things that are very coincidental, as I stumbled upon your journal entirely by accident through the fandom_history. First, the last song I heard was also "Here With Me." I just finished "The Amber Spyglass" yesterday. And, my comment link says, "catch a star." The end. Kindred spirits? Maybe... Stalkerish commenter? Not intentionally. ~Dani

Hee. Great song, good book so far, and it took me about a month how to figure out how to change the damn things. You?

Me too...so my journal was boring for quite a while. But...I'm far too curious for my own good and all is well now. So, what's your take on the movies over the trilogy? Think they can do it successfully? Peace. ~Dani

Its my opinion that movies can only mirror books -- they can either be really good (i.e. LOTR), or really bad (i.e. "Lord of the Flies"). I'll go see them, but I won't make any judgement until afterwards. ;)

I think that's one problem with HP fandom...we judge too much, too early. It sizzles enjoyment out of something. I personally can't wait to see the daemons. How would they do daemons on stage? *ponders* Peace, chica. ~Dani
