Just an observation, but I find it quite interesting how the number of Oliver Wood fans in the Harry Potter fandom increased probably between ten and twentyfold after the movie came out. Not saying I'm not one of them, but holy hell, folks.

I'm in a spamming mood today. So get over it.

Well, there's an easy explanation to that- the actor who plays him looks good. :) Same thing happened to poor Legolas. The sad thing is that they *are* cool characters, but loads of people only are fans of them because the actors are handsome.

And *how* many people like Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker now because Hayden Christensen has some resemblance to an Alpha male?

A lot. Again, not saying I'm not one of them. :) Am I exempt from this if I've been a Star Wars fan my entire life?

Yep. If you liked the Anakin/Darth Vader (was about to call him DV...meep) character before that twat HC played him, you're exempt. *grins* Melikes Darthy better, anyway. Ohh, and Obi-Wan. In all carnations.

I'd always imagined Oliver Wood as the big burly rugby player type. Then I saw Sean Biggerstaff and heard his gorgeous voice... *wanders off into dream world*

It was the accent that caught me. Holy hell!

And the best thing is that I'm moving to Scotland in a years time so I get to hear the accent all the time.
