(no subject)

My dad brought the Christmas tree in from the garage today.

Which means four things:

1. Tomorrow, I will be subjected to "family time" by putting the blasted thing up.

2. My mother will get herself tangled up in the lights, swearing up a storm.

3. My brother will drop an ornament and my mother will swear up a storm.

4. I will sneak out of the living room and to the computer to escape the madness.

You put the tree up this early? Strange. Won't it die before Christmas?

Or... Is it a plastic tree? That would explain it. :)

*apologises for the stupid questions but explains them by saying that she really doesn't know the traditions in the US*

*also apologises the bad grammar*

Tis terribly synthetic. Goes up the first couple weeks of December, doesn't usually come down until after February 14 (Valentine's Day). If my mother wore pearls while she vaccuumed, there is very little that would stop us from being a model nuclear family.

Right. :p Happy Christmas, then (with a long-lasting tree).
