My resolutions from 2003:
Resolutions for 2004:
1. Keep losing weight -- make a size 14 by prom.
2. Graduate with a 3.5, and keep grades up my first semester in college.
3. Get more involved with everything.
4. Finish at least 2 full length fics -- any fandom.
5. Maintain my work on untitled novel.
1. Didn't happen. I was a size 16 at prom, and my weight seems to be fluctuating somewhat wildly.
2. I did this. I graduated with (I think) a 3.6something and my GPA from the first semester of college was 3.711.
3. Well... this was pretty non-specific. I made an effort to get involved in things at Coe.
4. Haha. Yeah.
5. Nope.
Well, a lot of bad things happened, but so did a lot of good. I graduated high school. Wow. I'm an adult now and it's kind of freaky. I got my first speeding ticket. I got... well.
Let's go with the good stuff. I have an amazing group of friends in
leviosarpg who I wouldn't change for anything, and I have lots of fun memories with them that are pure gold. I have been talking with them more or less every day since about mid-March, and they are amazing people. I hope to be friends with them for many years to come.
I also went to college. It's not really that far out into the world, it's only an hour from my house and I could almost drive there blindfolded, but it's far enough where I'm testing the waters and my interests. I do feel comfortable at Coe. For the first time in a long time I have a group of friends, including
mcdigitalgumby who like me for who I really am and want to spend time with me -- or at least, in my room. It kind of sucks having faux friends, and I don't think anyone should ever have to go through high school thinking people who sekritly dislike them are their friends.
One part of college was that I was afraid I was going to have a roommate who was teh suck. Leisl is not teh suck. Leisl is very much cool. I love her very much, I think I could definitely have been a lot worse off as far as roommates go. :)
There's a lot of stuff that I'm glad happened; there's a lot of stuff that I'm not so glad happened. Let's leave it at that.
With that said, I will make the following resolutions:
1. Go see a lot of movies.
2. Keep up the good work at school.
3. Sing in the shower.
4. Tell people I love them.
5. Lindy until I drop.
6. Take a political science course.
7. Read a lot of books.
8. Meet some more friends.
9. Not be silly over boys.
10. Write a lot.
There. Those I think I can keep.
2005 is going to rock.
